Cooperation with Budjovice Budvar makes a lot of sense to me. Not only have we developed a great tasting product together, but we also have the same views on sustainable business and know the need to put circular principles into practice. I am glad that colleagues from Budvar joined us in the Zlohujme.cz initiative, said General Director Mattoni 1873 at a three-press conference.

The strategic cooperation of the two Czech icons on the new product also extends to the area of sustainable business. The Birgo soft drink is produced in Budjovice Budvar on a new modern line with an hourly capacity and 50,000 cans, and the brewery started its operation at the end of the year. Advanced technological equipment contributes to a significantly more efficient use of water, heat and electricity.

Budvar has launched a new can line, handling 40,000 per hour

We teamed up with a traditional Czech character, which looked at the same thing and shared the same values. In addition, we have become part of a criminal initiative, added Budjovický Budvar CEO Petr Dvok.

Together, the new soft drink is packaged in paper multipacks, which also do not contain glue. It is a so-called wrap-around technology with the content of recycled paper, its use of 16 percent carbon carbons compared to classic plastic films. The material itself then contains 74 percent recycled clay. It will now be sold in Slovakia, and the Czech market will arrive within a few weeks. The price is not set yet.
