Mattia Binotto, last visit to Ferrari F1[F1-Gate.com]

Mattia Binotto said goodbye to the Maranello headquarters on Wednesday 21 December after 27 years, while new team principal Frédéric Vasseur visited the Gestione Sportiva with Laurent Mekies on Monday.

Mattia Binotto had to step down after Ferrari’s disappointing results in 2022. The team looked to be in title contention, but ended in disappointment this year, mainly due to some problems within the team.

For Mattia Binotto, the day marks his farewell to Ferrari after 27 years, including four F1 team principals and three as technical director. .

Meanwhile, Monday and Tuesday are the first two days of activity for Ferrari’s new F1 team principal Frédéric Vasseur, who meets the top management of the company and gives him his first ‘tour’ inside Laurent Mekies’ Sporting Management . Vasseur will officially begin construction on January 9, 2023.

Having spent his first year at the helm of the company, Ferrari chief executive Benedetto Vigna seems keen to boost interest in the F1 business. Benedetto Vina, reporting directly to Frédéric Vasseur, has demonstrated a strong commitment to Ferrari’s sporting endeavors, both in hypercars and in F1.

The change of F1 team principal is a decision in which Benedetto Viña has been personally involved and it is logical to expect a greater presence and participation in the activities of the F1 team.
