Matthieu Voisin and Pietro Ceccarelli extend, three new arrivals on this Christmas day

CA Brive supporters are spoiled. Santa Claus has placed under the tree a multitude of contract extensions and new faces for next season.

The club’s current vice-captain, Matthieu Voisin, 25, is signing up for three more seasons. The French third line is now linked with CA Brive until 2025. An important extension as captain Saïd Hirèche ends his career at the end of the season.

Another important extension, the Italian right and international pillar, Pietro Ceccarelli, 29, remains in Corrèze at least until 2024. “Pietro Ceccarelli is an experienced player, both internationally and in the Top 14”, reacts Jeremy Davidson, the manager of the Brive club. “He is a modern pillar, intelligent, very good in melee as well as in the running game. He has played in France, Italy and Scotland and has JIFF status, making him an important part of the squad for years to come.”

Three arrivals for next season

CA Brive has also filled the host with three new players for next year. The RC Vannes player in Pro D2, Rodrigo Bruni signs a two-year contract with the Corrèze club just like the New Zealand third line of Samoan origin, Abraham Papali’i. The latter is currently a player in the Irish province of Connacht. Two heavy reinforcements in the third line to replace Saïd Hirèche next year.

Finally, the French Malino Vanai, 28, completes this series of signings. With 107 matches played in Top 14 and in Pro D2, the dynamic left pillar of Agen is also an experienced player. Malino Vanai commits until 2025.

The Managing Director of CA Brive, Xavier Ric, welcomes these announcements: “On this Christmas day, we are very happy to announce this good news to our supporters. These signatures symbolize our ambition to continue to develop the club thanks to this symbiosis between young talents and players recognized at the highest level. »
