Actor Matthew McConaughey (53) made big headlines last week, when he revealed a number of startling details about his fellow actor Woody Harrelson (61).

During an interview in Kelly Ripa’s (52) podcast “Let’s Talk Off Camera”, McConaughey revealed that the two actors may have a closer relationship than they themselves thought.
It turns out that there is a tiny chance that the two stars could be brothers.
When Harrelson was a guest on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” earlier this week, he made several revelations that support the shocking theory.

The mother made a revelation
The “Interstellar” actor and Harrelson have been friends for a number of years, and during a vacation in Greece a few years ago, they reportedly talked about how close their family was.
It was when McConaughey’s mother, Mary Kathlene McCabe, revealed that she knew Harrelson’s father well that the two actors realized there was something more to their parents’ relationship.
When the 61-year-old guested on the talk show of Stephen Colbert (58), he told why the two actors reacted to McCabe’s statement.
– I have known her for a long time, and she said: “I knew your father…”. It was that ellipsis that I found disturbing — or interesting,” Harrelson said.
The “Now You See Me” star further explained why there is even a possibility that the brotherhood is real.
Speeding up the speculation
Nine months before McCabe gave birth to McConaughey, she and what the 53-year-old considers her father, James Donald McConaughey, should have had a break in their relationship.
Therefore, there is a possibility that McCabe and Harrelson’s father will have managed to have a little sheet dance during that time.
Will not take a DNA test
Harrelson went on to say that the two good friends have considered taking a DNA test, but that McConaughey should be more lukewarm.
– This is a much bigger thing for him. He feels like he’s losing his father, but I think of it more like he’s getting another father and a brother.
Wild romance rumours: Taken at face value
In the interview with Ripa, McConaughey was honest about his reluctance to find out the truth, and that it is difficult for him to realize that what he has believed to be his father for 53 years, may not be after all.
The two actors are currently working on their upcoming series aptly named “Brother From Another Mother,” which may now turn out to be a little more inspired by real life than first thought.
