Kovacic is one of City’s new recruits this season. The 29 year old midfielder was recruited from Chelsea in the transfer market last summer.
Kovacic has quite a lot of experience after playing for Dinamo Zagreb, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea. However, the Croatia international player still experienced many new things with Guardiola.
Because of this, Kovacic also regrets not joining City at an earlier stage in his career.
“It’s amazing and tough because I learned a lot of new things and I would have been happy to join at a younger age to learn. But it’s never too late to learn. I think that’s how it is,” said Kovacic as reported by the Mirror.
“So I’m glad I was able to learn from him and what he told you. I would have loved if someone had told me this a few years ago.”
“But yes, now I can still learn and you can see he is extraordinary. I really enjoyed it from the start,” he said.
