Matt Reeves confirms: Barry Keoghan will be future […] in ‘The Batman’-franchise

Be warned before you read further, the message below can The Batman (which is finally running) somewhat ruin it for you. On the other hand, it can also make the viewing experience more fun, so the choice is yours.

Read through? Okay, at the end of the movie by Matt Reeves zit The Riddler (Paul Dano) at Arkham Asylum where he strikes up a conversation with a fellow inmate.

We only get darkened looks at this fellow inmate, but you can clearly see the scars on the face, the maniacal laugh can be heard and he talks about clowns. In the credits, he is listed as Unseen Arkham Prisoner and played by Barry Keoghan.

But the identity of this unnamed character has now been confirmed by director Reeves himself and secretly we all hoped and knew this, Keoghan is playing The Joker!

The rumors have been around for some time and several scenes have even been shot that did not make the final cut (including an extensive dialogue between Batman and The Joker).

Although The Clown Prince of Crime (just like Batman in his early days) is now officially in The Batman however, there is no confirmation about the future yet. It can be a build-up for The Batman 2but just as well for one of the spin-offs on HBO Max, one of which will be set entirely in Arkham Asylum.
