Former Tottenham defender Matt Dawson has opened up, claiming that West Ham will sell Chelsea target Declan Rice for the right amount of money in the summer window.
Rice is a player who is easily considered one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a man who has great chances of joining one of the big clubs in the next transfer window.
It’s no secret that Chelsea are long-time admirers of the player and, despite all the headlines about taking over the club, are still planning a summer move for the midfielder, if the new owner gives Thomas some funding. Tuchel.
And despite West Ham not wanting to lose Declan Rice in the transfer window, Dawson opened up and suggested the Hammers will have a price on the player they are willing to make a deal with.
“Every player his age is going to want to strive to be as successful as possible,” Dawson said. “He has made a rapid rise, he is sensational and he deserves to play in the Champions League, he does it
“He has the quality, we have seen him for England in the summer, we have seen what he does for West Ham.
“West Ham are still fighting for the top four, they have as much chance as anyone else.
“West Ham don’t want to sell it, of course not, David Moyes doesn’t want to sell it, but everyone has a price.
Rice will continue to have a great season this year and honestly guys, the Hammers will be very lucky to keep the guy when the transfer window opens.
It will be interesting to see where this whole thing ends up.
