Whenever possible, the maternal flu vaccination will be given at the same time as the maternal whooping cough vaccination. Information about the maternal flu vaccination is provided by the obstetric care providers.
Pregnant women with a medical indication for a flu vaccination are, as is currently the case, vaccinated by their GP, regardless of the gestational age. But these pregnant women can choose to get both vaccinations at the same time from the Youth Health Care of the GGD. If necessary, the JGZ will coordinate this with the GP.
If the pregnant woman also has an appointment for a corona vaccination, no interval needs to be observed.
It would be nice if you could hang up the attached poster and infographic in the waiting room, so that we can draw the attention of more pregnant women to the maternal flu vaccination.
