It was clear which trends were rampant during this year’s festival.

Thousands of people have flocked to Stavernfestivalen to listen to artists such as Undergrunn, Karpe, Emma Steinbakken and Kygo. But there are also many who have taken advantage of the festive occasion to drive on with extra cool outfits.

Often there are also some trends that stand out during the summer’s many festivals, and this weekend was no exception. There were actually several clear trends during this year’s Stavern festival.

There were, among other things, football uniforms in the area, and it was certainly with good (under)reason.

– It’s because of Underground. They usually wear it on stage, but they didn’t have it today, says Synne Kyrkjebø (19).

She had donned a PSG kit for the occasion.

– That was the vibe today.

Kristian Kirkebøe (20), Sondre Hagen (21), Linus Færgestad (21), Philip Fossum (21) and Maher Aburashid (20) also wore football uniforms.

According to them, the combination of football kit and linen trousers is something to bet on this year.

– Boys don’t have much to choose from, but football uniforms and linen trousers work, says Aburashid.

While several people embraced the football kit trend, there were also many who had their eyes on cowboy boots and hats. It spiced things up on the festival grounds!

– I have seen it at several concerts this year, says Mathilde Amdam (22).

– Cowboy boots are at least a thing among girls these days.

Mathilde Amdam (22), Frida Sofie Aadnekvam Amundsen (22) and Tilde Pettersson (23) agree that cowboy boots are this year’s big trend. They also highlight denim sets as among the most popular now. MinMote/Malin Gaden

Live Hoff (22) had brought his pink cowboy hat with him from Oslo.

– But then I found out that they sell them at the camp, says Hoff and laughs.

– We were supposed to stand out, and then people lined up along the road to sell them.

It was also popular to match each other this year – preferably in home-made garments.

Sara Eliassen (26) started a tradition by creating an ever so small bucket hat collection for her friends. Last year the crocheted hats were plain, this year two colors applied.

– Each person has their own colour, she says.

Fanny Albertine Juell (22) had also crocheted hats for her friends for the occasion.

In random order: Sara Eliassen (22), Liselotte Rymoen (26), Marte Forfang (22), Malin Johannessen (24), Oda Vanem (22), Sirianne Rymoen (22) and Hedda Tveiten (26). But there were also those who decided to take the matching out completely. Models Skøien Berg (30) and Trine Lise Olsen (30) posed in green sets.

– We will try to put together matching outfits all weekend, they say.

So did Lina Kristin Johansen (24) and Marina Fredheim (24).

– We wanted to match each other because it is important to find each other again, the girls say, laughing.

– We did the same thing last year, and then everyone came over and asked us where the outfits were from.
