Match report: Werder lost 2: 3 at SV Meppen

After the change of sides, there were no top-class players to report for a long time. In the 73rd minute, the hosts then added Vivien Endemann to make it 3-0 from Werder’s point of view. The green-whites did not let themselves get down, however, continued to be combative and managed to turn the game almost at the end. Michelle Ulbrich scored the next goal ten minutes before the end. A quick free kick went to Ricarda Walkling to the left, who brought the ball into the penalty area, where Ulbrich only had to push the leather over the line on the second post (80th). Shortly afterwards, SVM goalkeeper Laura Sieger picked up a back pass – the indirect free kick was initially blocked, but Ricarda Walkling then carefully chipped the ball into the mesh over Sieger (84th). In the end, however, it was not enough for a meter.

This means that SVW remains in ninth place in the table for the time being, but only has a three-point lead over SV Meppen, who is now tenth. On the first relegation place, the green-whites keep five points ahead. The next game is only again on April 18th, 2021 at 2 p.m. Then Bayer 04 Leverkusen will be a guest at the “11th place” stadium.
