Strong appearance in the Bundesliga final! FC Bayern won their last league game of the season at VfL Wolfsburg 4-0 (2-0) on Saturday. Thus, the old and new German champions end the season with no less than 13 victories in a row. FCB also celebrated the successful dress rehearsal for the final of the DFB Cup against Bayer 04 Leverkusen next Saturday.
Kingsley Coman shot Munich early in the VW arena onto Siegerstrasse (4th minute). In minute 37, Michaël Cuisance marked the 2-0 with his first Bundesliga goal. After the change of sides Robert Lewandowski screwed up the result with a penalty kick (72nd) and Thomas Müller (79th).

What a brand! With the 4: 0 at the end of the season, FC Bayern broke the sound barrier of 100 goals this season. It is the second best value in Bundesliga history. Only in the 1971/72 season did the record champions score more goals in one season (101).
Boateng with 200th Bundesliga appearance for FCB

Season end anniversary for Jérôme Boateng! The 31-year-old central defender played his 200th Bundesliga game against Bayern Munich against VfL Wolfsburg. Boateng was 189 times in the starting XI and celebrated 159 victories with the German record champions in the upper house.
4th minute – Coman hits early, Müller breaks the assist record

Bayern hit ice cold early! Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer initiates a quick attack. Lewandowski claims the ball and passes on to Müller. The assist king of the league plays the leather sensitively in the free space. Coman is up and away and deliberately closes to 1-0. For Müller it is the 21st goal of the season – new Bundesliga record since detailed data collection (2004/05)!
19th minute – Neuer extends the paw

Strong parade from Neuer! Jérôme Roussillon hits the box on the left and drives back. Josip Brekalo pulls from 15 meters without hesitation, but Neuer extends his right arm at lightning speed and deflects the shot onto the short corner.
22./24./30./36. Minute – Bayern miss the 2: 0 multiple times

FCB is very close to 2-0! First Serge Gnabry checks VfL goalkeeper Koen Casteels, who parried both times (22/24). Then after a strong counterattack, Coman only hits the outside network (30th). Lewandowski has the best opportunity, who does not place a header precisely enough after a Coman cross, Casteels holds strong (36th).
37th minute – Cuisance rewards FCB well worth seeing

First Bundesliga goal for Cuisance and what one! Coman serves the 20-year-old Frenchman who moves from the right to the center. Cuisance holds onto it from 22 meters and screws the ball 2-0 into the nook and cranny.
50th / 56th minute – Gnabry fails twice

Two huge opportunities for Gnabry! The 24-year-old international comes to the end after a Coman cross from eight meters, but shoots well over the goal (50th). Six minutes later, Gnabry is up and away after a steep pass from Müller, but fails at Casteels.
72nd minute – Lewandowski freezing from the point

This man is freezing cold and a real executor! Lewandowski starts for the penalty kick, looks out Casteels and pushes the ball deliberately to 3: 0 in the left corner. Before that, Cuisance was fouled by Josuha Guilavogui, who saw the yellow-red card for it. For the 31-year-old it is the 34th goal of the season, only FCB legend Gerd Müller scored more goals than Lewandowski in one season.
79 minutes: Müller ends the season

The 100 goal mark is done! Alphonso Davies crosses from the left, a VfL defender unhappily extends. At the second post, Müller comes to the end and thunders the ball to Bayern’s 100th goal of the season.
