The NIK officially functions as a NPWP since the Bill on the Harmonization of Tax Regulations (RUU HPP) was signed by President Jokowi to become Law Number 7 of 2021 on 29 October 2021.
The community is urged to immediately match NIK and NPWP.
NIK and NPWP matching can be done until December 31, 2023.
As of 1 January 2024, all tax activities will only use NIK and will be valid forever.

How to Match NIK and NPWP
Matching NIK and NPWP only applies to Indonesian Citizens (WNI) who already have an NPWP prior to the issuance of Minister of Finance Regulation Number 112/PMK.03/2022.
