The shadow man
New this year at Masterchef is that the judges will not be alone in making the evaluations during the Live Cooking and the Stress Test: somewhere in the studio, hidden from the view of the competitors, there will be a “shadow judge”, a person mysterious person who will have the task, at a later stage, of helping Barbieri, Cannavacciuolo and Locatelli in the selection. A person whose identity will remain secret for a while: during the test cooking he will always remain silent but will be able to closely observe, without being seen, the work of the cooks and probe their shortcomings, and his opinion could be invaluable for Bruno, Antonino and Giorgio when they are called to give their indisputable response.

The hunt for the totonome of the shadow man is inevitable. Social media unleashed on the mysterious figure within Masterchef. Among the most popular names is that of Iginio Massari, the master of Italian pastry making and the terror of all aspiring chefs, but that would be too simple. Among the most popular and decidedly more imaginative ones is that of Gerry Scotti.
Getting serious again, due to his physiognomy and movements the mysterious judge could be Davide Scabin, two Michelin stars, a visionary chef with his own idea of revolutionary and avant-garde cuisine who has played a leading role for years, marking the history of modern Italian cuisine.
