Master movie leak: Madras High Court intervenes decisively; 400 websites banned

Chennai: The Madras High Court has taken a decisive step in the leak of scenes from a master film. 400 fake sites banned. The High Court has directed telecom service providers Airtel, Geo, Vodafone, BSNL and MTNL to suspend the service of the websites. The court also ordered that accounts that disseminate scenes through social media be blocked.

The main scenes of the film are spread through social media. It is suspected that scenes were leaked from the show for distributors. The High Court order was in favor of the construction company which had approached the court seeking immediate intervention in the incident. The scenes are spreading through social media as the movie is about to release tomorrow. Activists requested that fake versions of the film not be circulated.

Director Lokesh Kanakaraj requested that the work should not be terminated for a year and a half. Other Tamil directors also came forward with the request. The production company alleged that the scenes were leaked by an employee of Sony Digital Cinemas. And filed a complaint against the employee. The production company also alleged that there was a conspiracy to destroy the master film. Vijay’s big budget Tamil film Master is the first film to be released when theaters in the state reopen tomorrow after a gap of 10 months.
