NOS News

Several streets in Breda are under water because a water pipe has burst. The Nieuwe Kadijk and Charles Petitweg, in the north of the city, are flooded, among others. Broadcasting Brabant reports that a sinkhole has also formed, into which a scooter has disappeared.

Roads with flooding have been closed off while mechanics try to repair the broken pipe. The leak started around 9 p.m. and repairs are expected to last until past 1 a.m.

Op waterstoring.nl it can be read that people in the area may temporarily not get water from the tap, and have to take into account brown water or low water pressure. The advice is to turn off appliances such as water heaters, water heaters, washing machines and dishwashers and also to extinguish the pilot light of the water heater for as long as the malfunction lasts.
