At around 2pm, the emergency services on platform X reported that the extinguishing operation was effective and that the fire was under control. “There are spray cans and gas bottles in the warehouse that cause the popping sounds,” the report said. Nevertheless, citizens should heed the safety instructions from the emergency services and not stay near the scene of the fire.

Despite the receding smoke, the fire department’s measuring vehicles were moving in other parts of the city from 3:30 pm to check the air for pollution.
