“Massive Russian Missile Attack Against Ukraine Indicates Change in Approach: British Defense Intelligence Report”

The latest massive Russian missile attack against Ukraine may indicate a change in the Russian approach to missile strikes compared to winter.

According to Evropeyskaya Pravda, this is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense on the Russian-Ukrainian war dated April 29.

Intelligence notes that the attack on April 28 was the first massive strike of the Russian Federation since the beginning of March.

“These attacks suggest a change in approach in how Russia uses long-range strikes. This wave had fewer missiles than during the winter attacks and was unlikely to target Ukrainian energy infrastructure. There is a realistic possibility that the Russian Federation was trying to hit into reserve units or weapons that were recently transferred to Ukraine,” the intelligence analysts say.

They add that the RF is clearly ineffective at targeting and prioritizes the potential military benefit over the potential collateral damage of an attack, such as civilian deaths.

Recall that on the morning of April 28, Russia launched a new strike on Ukraine, firing 23 cruise missiles from strategic aircraft. 21 missiles were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense, 2 missiles hit Uman. More than 20 people, including four children, died in a section of a residential building destroyed by a rocket, rescuers continue to dismantle the rubble.

In Dnipro, a woman and a three-year-old child were killed as a result of Russian shelling. One child was injured and several apartments were damaged as a result of the fall of fragments of a Russian rocket on a residential high-rise building in the city of Ukrainka, Kyiv region.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky after the night attack of the Russian Federation urged tighten global sanctions against Russia.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba called these Russian missile strikes another proof of the need arm Ukraine with F-16s.
