Heavy rains and floods sweep the northeastern United States and leave at least one dead
At least one person died in massive flooding caused by torrents of rain that continued to pour across the northeastern United States on Monday morning, authorities said. In New York state, heavy rains have caused floods on Sunday “likely to put lives in danger”, transforming the streets into a torrent, washing away sections of roadways and bridges, and blocking people in their cars.
