A large fire broke out on the Heiblokseweg in Bergen op Zoom last night. That happened shortly before midnight. Two apartments were completely destroyed by the flames.
When the fire brigade arrived at the Heiblokseweg, the apartments were completely on fire. One person was also injured in the fire. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance. The condition of the victim is unknown.
According to the fire service, the fire raged at a barn to which the apartments were linked. The barn was spared by a dividing wall. The fire was under control around 1:30 p.m. The fire brigade was still busy with after-extinguishment for some time. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
