A lot of barrels containing drug waste were found by a game warden next to the Klein Overveldsepad in the outskirts of Breda on Saturday morning. The fire brigade has taken measurements.
According to a 112 correspondent, this concerns about seventy barrels of liquid, several blue empty barrels, many plastic containers and two filters.
In the water
An open barrel was in the water, but according to a spokesperson for the Brabantse Delta water board, no liquid had leaked from it and therefore nothing harmful had leaked into the surface water.
The area where the barrels were found is owned by Staatsbosbeheer. It is up to that organization to have the barrels cleaned up.
