Demos against the right: Further registrations in Cologne
But as the police explained to EXPRESS.de on Monday (January 22nd), the female private person who organized the demonstration on January 16th had not yet registered any further protests.
The “Cologne stands across” alliance, consisting of unions, parties and initiatives, which called for the demo on Sunday (January 21st, 70,000 participants), has already announced an XXL strike.
“’KSSQ’ (Cologne stands aside, editor) proposes a strike for the inviolable right to human dignity on March 21, 2024, the International Day Against Racism,” it said.
The concrete plan: Everything should come to a standstill on March 21st (a Thursday) at 11:45 a.m. “Work is stopped for a quarter of an hour, in workshops, offices, factories and administrations, in daycare centers, schools and universities. For a quarter of an hour, we ask everyone, no matter what they are doing, to stop and send a clear signal,” said the alliance.
