The announced massive climate sticker protests started promptly on Monday morning at 7:15 a.m. in the capital. At around 9.30 a.m. the police reported: “Almost all blockades have been cleared”.
According to a statement from Last Generation, the exits of the A100, A103, A114 and several federal roads into the city were affected by sit-ins in at least 23 locations. BZ names the locations and the exact coordinates to click on.

It started at Prenzlauer Promenade/A114 promptly at 7.15 a.m.
Among other things, the Kurt Schumacher Dam near Bauhaus was blocked by seven climate adhesives. Likewise the Victory Column.
“Traffic has come to a standstill on the A100 near Buschkrugallee,” said a police spokeswoman.
According to police, around 8 a.m. more than 20 locations were blocked by climate stickers. More than 500 police officers were on duty. One was slightly injured during one of the measures.

At the corner of Müllerstrasse and Fennstrasse (Wedding), plainclothes police were able to stop a blockade by eight chaotic people. Officials also prevented the sticking activities at Tempelhof S-Bahn station, Kastanienallee at the corner of Schönhauser Allee and at Kaiserdamm.

Wheelchair user Matthias Schimmrich (35) took part in one of the protests at Tempelhofer Damm. He has an autoimmune disease. The 35-year-old said to BZ: “It’s not easy to get involved here. But I have to do something.”

The climate extremists wear orange high-visibility vests and banners that read “Away from fossil fuels – towards fairness.” The gluers had already smeared paint on the Brandenburg Gate on Sunday.
“It was to be expected that the group would again commit crimes that had been announced and take tens of thousands of people hostage in order to further divide our society,” says GdP spokesman Benjamin Jendro.
And further: “We are talking here about a few who operate in a cult-like manner outside of democratic majorities and, in our view, have long since met the parameters of a criminal organization.”
