A fire broke out in Ulsan last night.
A fire broke out in a warehouse near the agricultural and marine product wholesale market, and the fire spread due to strong winds, quickly burning all nine commercial buildings.
Damage appears to have increased as older buildings were crowded together, and many of them had roofs made of sandwich panels, which are vulnerable to fire.

The fire started in a general store building near the agricultural and marine product wholesale market in Nam-gu, Ulsan, around 7 p.m. on the 24th, the day before Christmas.

″I was in our store when I heard a “pop” sound and when I came out, there were flames going up.″
At the time of the fire, strong winds were blowing, and there were many combustible materials such as waste and gas cylinders everywhere, so nearby residents were very nervous.

″Last time, there was a big fire at an agricultural and marine product (wholesale market), and now there’s another big fire even though it’s Christmas Eve… ″
The fire started in this building and burned all five nearby buildings, and the car in front of the building still has traces of being swept away by the strong flames and melted.
There were no casualties, but a nearby junk shop and 9 warehouses were burned, and property damage estimated at 1 billion won by the fire department occurred.
The anxiety of nearby merchants is growing due to a fire that suddenly broke out during the Christmas holidays.

The area where the fire broke out is full of old, old buildings close together.
The fire department explained that the warehouse roof was made of sandwich panels, which are vulnerable to fire, which appears to have increased the damage.

Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire, believing that a spark occurred while cutting panels at a general store.
