“Massive Blaze Breaks Out in Kootwijkerbroek Destroying Multiple Buildings”

KOOTWICKER PANTS – A large fire is currently raging in Kootwijkerbroek. The flames reach meters high and thick black clouds of smoke are visible in the wide area.

According to a spokesman for the fire service, the fire started in a shed on Essenerweg, where materials may have been stored. The fire has now spread to two adjacent commercial buildings and a shed behind them.

The fire service was called at about 4:50 p.m. The scale of the incident has led to the deployment of many additional firefighting vehicles. Local residents are advised to close windows and doors and to switch off mechanical ventilation if possible.
