Ukraine hit by a full-scale Russian missile attack. The massive rocket attack hit several cities including the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.

“December 29th. Massive rocket attack… Enemy strikes Ukraine from multiple directions with air and sea cruise missiles from strategic aircraft and ships,” the Ukrainian Air Force said on social media.

According to presidential adviser Mykhaylo Podolyak, more than 120 missiles have been fired at Ukraine.

As of this morning local time, explosions have been reported in cities across Ukraine, including in the capital Kyiv, where Mayor Vitali Klitschko has warned of potential power outages and asked residents to stock up on water.

Klitschko also said three of his citizens were injured, including a 14-year-old girl.

“As of now, there are three injured in Kyiv, including a 14-year-old girl. They are all in the hospital,” Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on social media.

Two private homes were hit by shrapnel that fell east of the capital. Meanwhile an “industrial enterprise” and a playground have been damaged in the southwest of the city.

A series of explosions also occurred east of Kharkiv.

Explosions were also reported in the western city of Lviv, Mayor Andryi Sadovyi said. “Ninety percent of the city is without electricity,” Sadoviy said on social media, also warning of potential water outages.

“We are awaiting further information from the energy experts. Trams and trolleybuses are not running in the city,” he continued.

regional governor LvivMaksim Kozytski, said the air defense is operational and asked residents to stay in shelters.

FYI, after a series of battlefield setbacks this summer and fall, Moscow has ramped up its air campaign by repeatedly targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with drones and missiles.
