At just 11 years old, the little boy’s baseball dreams were cut short, and although the official cause of death as such has not been revealed, it is known that it could have been a consequence of septic shock, derived from an aggressive bacterial infection.

The little baseball player had contracted the bacteria in a toenail, and it is said that the difficulty in obtaining medication and providing him with early antibiotic treatment would have caused his hospitalization, from which he could not recover.

On social networks, journalist Yassel Porto shared the farewell that his town, in the province of Villa Clara, dedicated to him.

The video shows a group of children carrying flowers, classmates from Emmanuel’s school and sports team. These are followed by the hearse and, subsequently, a procession of hundreds of people silently accompanies the little boy, to what will be his final resting place.

Emmanuel’s suffering from the staphylococcus that he caught from the wound on his foot was long, since since last March 19 the Leopardos Azucareros, the Villa Clara baseball team, were already concerned about his clinical evolution.
