This time, however, the news concerns an aspect that boasts few similar cases in the news, namely the fight against illicit hunting activities.
According to as reported in the report on the lanazione.it websitedays ago, in province of Luccathe drones made it possible to catch two men from Torre del Lago red-handed who were hunting, using unauthorized means and outside pre-established hours, in the marshy area of the Lake Massaciuccolipart of the “San Rossore Migliarino Massaciuccoli Park”a natural area that extends for 23 thousand hectares and which is subject to special protection by community directives on environmental matters. Once identified, the two poachers were reported, with the rifles and cartridges in their possession seized.
A note from the Park explains that the intervention was possible “thanks to a drone which, together with new operational techniques, allows for a better use of logistical resources and personnel with frequent and detailed monitoring of the situation: above all, the use of a very silent vessel powered by an electric motor is fundamental, which has allowed to the guards to surprise the hunters before they could dispose of the evidence”.
