At least three dead and two injured are reported due to a mass shooting registered this Saturday southeast of Washington DC, United States. The authorities arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.
The attack occurred around 8:00 p.m. (local time) at 1600 Good Rope Road, where the uniformed officers went to attend to the emergency. Upon arrival, they found five people with gunshot wounds, three of them dead. .
According to the authorities, two men and a woman were declared dead at the scene; while two other men were transferred to a nearby hospital, one of them seriously, the other’s health status is unknown.

Police launch investigation into Washington shooting
Pamela Smith, acting chief of the Washington police, indicated that “this gun violence has to stop. It’s incredibly frustrating. We know someone in the community knows what’s going on.”
He added that “This is not a war zone. We want our residents to feel safe.”
He explained that there may be more people injured by the shooting in Washington, for which he asked that they arrive at the hospitals so that they could be properly treated.
“We realize that there may be others who have been injured tonight. We are asking them to come forward,” she said.
