CHICAGO, KOMPAS.com – Six people were killed and at least 36 injured in a mass shooting in suburban Chicago, during the Independence Day parade United States of America (USA) on Monday (4/7/2022).
The exact location of the shooting was in Highland Park. The suspect was a man with a high-powered rifle who fired from the roof.
Police said the suspect was named Robert E Crimo III (22) who came from the area. They say he drives a silver 2010 Honda Fit.

“He was deemed armed and dangerous,” sheriff’s department spokesman Christopher Covelli said Reutersadding that residents should not approach him if they see him.
Officials said a rifle was found at the scene. The suspect is still at large and is being hunted by the police.
More than 36 of the injured were mostly gunshot wounds, said Jim Anthony, spokesman for the NorthShore University Health System.

Later, at least one of those killed was a Mexican national, a senior Mexican Foreign Ministry official said on Twitter.
