A mass shooting took place early this Saturday on 6th Street in Austin, Texas and left at least 13 people injuredFurthermore, the police reported that the suspect is still at large, as he fled the scene.
The authorities reported that two of the injured people are in critical condition, after a suspicious person fired on 6th Street, a popular area full of bars and restaurants.
The first reports of the shooting reached the police around 1:30 a.m. Y as of 4:00 AM no deaths had been reported, according to Joseph Chacon, Acting Austin Police Chief.
Eleven of the injured were taken to a local hospital, another person to a different hospital, and one more to an urgent care center.
“Our officers responded very quickly. They were able to begin immediately the measures to save the lives of many of these patients, including applications of tourniquets and chest seals ”, highlighted Chacon during the conference he gave in the early morning.
Police are still unclear who the suspect is in the Austin, Texas mass shooting, which left at least 13 injured, but they believe it is a man.
