Shooting mass going on again in United States of America (US). Now as many as 3 people are reported to have been shot dead by gunmen in Washington, United States.
As reported by AFP, Wednesday (25/1/2023), the attack came after two mass shootings in California that have killed 18 people. Police in Yakima City said the perpetrator allegedly killed three people at a convenience store for no apparent reason.
“It appears to be a random situation,” said Yakima Police Chief Matthew Murray.
“Nothing, there was no clear conflict between the parties. They just walked in and started shooting,” he continued.
Murray said officers were examining surveillance footage from the area around the Circle K store. He said the attack occurred at 3:30 a.m. local time.
“The first shooting was inside the store. Then he came out of the store and shot a victim outside the store and then went across the street and apparently shot another person,” he said.
“We have three confirmed deceased parties,” he added.
Murray said the perpetrator then fled in a stolen car from a nearby gas station. He asked the public to be vigilant.
“This is a person who is dangerous and random in nature so that it endangers society,” he said.
“We have no motive, we don’t know why. We will do everything we can to find and arrest this person.”
