In western Mexico, researchers have found the remains of at least 113 people in a mass grave. So far, 30 victims have been identified, 28 men and two women.
The mass grave was discovered in early October in the town of El Salto, not far from Guadalajara in the western state of Jalisco. That region is the home of the very violent drug cartel Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación. More mass graves have been found in Jalisco in recent years.
Some 60,000 people are missing in Mexico. Many of them are believed to have been kidnapped and killed by members of drug cartels, which have a lot of power in the Latin American country. Last year more than 35,000 people were murdered in Mexico.
