The Cairo News Channel broadcast a report in which it revealed the largest forced displacement suffered by the residents of the Gaza Strip, and the increasing tragedy of the displaced from Gaza as a result of the lack of relief materials and services.
The Cairo News report confirmed that the largest displacement process the Strip has ever known is the one that the residents of Gaza are currently facing following the fierce war imposed on them by Israel since the seventh of last October.
The report explained that fleeing from the brutal war was the only solution, until more than 90% of the population of the Gaza Strip were forcibly displaced and lacked their basic needs, according to UNRWA, which in turn confirmed that what civilians were exposed to in Gaza forced them to move south to Rafah, the governorate that… It is the smallest of the five governorates in the primarily defined sector.
He continued: “300,000 citizens is the official number of the original residents of Rafah who suffered from poverty of economic and humanitarian resources before the war struck its doors, but now the war has increased their numbers by about 713,000 displaced people without food, shelter centers, or services.”
He continued: “The streets themselves were not devoid of suffering, with about 268,000 citizens sleeping on the streets and looking up at the sky, adding to the tragedy of the small governorate, which is now crowded with more than 1,300,000 citizens who are all suffering from the same conditions.”
