Electronic Arts and Bioware developers recently released a new trailer for the anticipated remastered Mass Effect trilogy, and announced a release date on May 14, with the game coming to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although no version has been announced for the current generation of consoles (and such a version is not currently planned at all, not even through a later update), the trilogy can also be played on them through backward compatibility mode.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will offer all three games along with more than 40 expansions, from large data discs to small cosmetic DLCs. All consoles can look forward to 4K HDR, on stronger consoles (PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, next-gen) the game will run in 4K HDR resolution at 60 FPS. On a PC, the frame rate will be unlimited and you can also count on the support of widescreen monitors. The whole package will offer improved textures (they were improved mainly with the help of AI, some are up to 16 times more detailed), lighting, shadows, particle effects, depth of field, faster loading and cutscenes will be improved. The third and second part is therefore a remaster, but the first part is significantly more affected. The number one improved the combat system, user interface, AI, and overall the game should be more like the second part. In this case, it will be a game between remaster and remake.
