Following last year, a group of dead sardines were discovered on the southern coast of Gyeongnam.
Relevant agencies have begun a collection operation, but it is expected that it will take time until the cause of the mass deaths is revealed.

The coast is full of sardines with their white bellies exposed.
Workers are busy putting sardines into bags.
After receiving reports that numerous dead sardines were seen, the local government began collecting them.
When sardine carcasses decompose, they can pollute seawater.
In severe cases, a foul odor that stings the nose may also occur.
On the day of receiving the complaint, the local government checked the dead sardines and collected about 100 kg.
We plan to incinerate them all.

Last year, dead sardines were found at a similar time and location.
The cause was revealed to be lack of oxygen.
Residents nearby are complaining of inconvenience as this has been happening for two years.
