The Ministry of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires sends 756,000 new citations to be vaccinated, the majority for the 50-59 age group, but a good part also for 40-49 years, in all cases without previous illnesses. As advanced PageI12 On Sunday, the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, launched this Tuesday morning the registration for people from 45 to 49, a group whose vaccination can be completed, at the latest, during the weekend. That means that as of Monday 21 the possibility of vaccination of porteños from 40 to 44 years old opens. As you can see, the process is progressing at a good pace and continuity depends on the fact that vaccines continue to arrive. For now, it is mentioned that a new Aerolinas Argentinas flight will depart for Russia before the weekend and there will be a new shipment from Oxford / AstraZeneca originating in Albuquerque, United States, with the active ingredient manufactured in Argentina.
Buenos Aires
The Province of Buenos Aires is finishing vaccinating the 50-59 age group. Of the total population of that age calculated by Indec, 1,747,770 people registered to be vaccinated: 87.9 percent, that is, 1,536,000, are from Buenos Aires. Of that total, a third had previous illnesses and there are also health, education and security personnel who have already been vaccinated. A significant part of the remaining 50 to 59 years old, without comorbidities, have also received their vaccine, so that there are less than 400,000 that will be cited this week.
In parallel, also progress was made on the 40 to 49-year-old band. There are districts where there are more people vaccinated from this group and districts with fewer doses applied. That depends on how many people have signed up, what is the age composition of the municipality, how many inhabitants that district has with previous illnesses, and so on. As the vaccines arrive, the shift continues to assign in the pre-established order. That is why it may happen that a 54-year-old from a municipality takes a little longer to be vaccinated than a 51-year-old from the next municipality.
The Province of Buenos Aires achieved an important success in the last two weeks: 8,427 people, over 60, accepted the benefit of being vaccinated without a previous shift, freely. They are from Buenos Aires who perhaps did not have a computer, did not dare or did not know how to take the turn. That this number of people have been added to be vaccinated shows that, once the vaccination of those registered is finished, they will have to go house to house to convince those who are not registered. In the oldest age groups, almost everyone enrolled: 95 percent in those over 70 and 96 percent in those over 60.

As this newspaper advanced, the minister Quirós announced this Tuesday the opening of the registration of people from 45 to 49 years old. The logic is that CABA takes around five days to vaccinate that group: it has the necessary vaccines.
If everything goes as planned, the next week that begins on June 21, will be summoned to enroll those from 40 to 44 years old. The City of Buenos Aires would be in a position to vaccinate children under 40 years of age before the end of the month.

With vaccination running at a fast pace, the dose requirement becomes more demanding. This Tuesday the distribution of the 811,000 doses that arrived on Saturday will be completed and on Wednesday the 934,000 that arrived on Monday will be sent to the districts. In this way, all of the 20 million vaccines that arrived in the country will be distributed. If it is considered that 16,500,000 have been applied so far, there will be 3,500,000 pending application. In other words, there are doses for about ten days. However, there are differences between some districts and others so the pressure for vaccines remains.
According to Government House sources, another flight from Russia would be announced in the next few hours, bringing a new party of Sputnik V.
The Gamaleya Institute and the Russian Fund for Direct Investment complied with the shipment of some two million doses per month, so another plane should be arriving in June with at least another 600,000 vaccines.
On Monday, the Richmond laboratory, owned by Marcelo Figueiras, delivered two batches of Sputnik V completed in Argentina to the transporter Andreani. One batch goes to Russia for quality control and, in parallel, another batch goes to Anmat, the Argentine regulatory body. The Richmond seeks simultaneous approval of these items, which could make 500,000 doses available 1 in the first days of July.
It is possible that during this same week there will be a new flight from Albuquerque, with doses of Oxford / AstraZeneca, with the active substance produced in Garin, in the mAbxience laboratory, of the Insud Group. The vaccines are ready in the North American plant to which they were derived from Mexico and it will be necessary to see when the quality control is finished. The promise is that 1,500,000 doses will come before the end of the month.
