“Mass Brawl Breaks Out in Dusseldorf Shisha Bar, Police Respond with Pepper Spray”

EA mass brawl in a shisha bar has caused a large-scale police operation in Düsseldorf. More than 40 police officers rushed to the scene with 20 patrol cars to separate the ten beaters from each other, the police reported on Sunday. The officers also used pepper spray.

Four men were taken into custody on Sunday morning and criminal charges have been filed against three. Although four police officers were attacked, they were not injured. In the bar, the officers encountered an aggressive crowd of around 100 visitors.

A caller told 911 that the fighters were armed with knives. Warning calls were heard again and again on site: “Knife! Knife!” Knives were not discovered, but brass knuckles. A 33-year-old is said to have previously hit and injured a 19-year-old with a shisha. It was initially unclear whether this was the trigger of the brawl.
