Masrawy:

Imsakia, the General Authority for Survey and Times, has set prayer times during the blessed month of Ramadan, and we publish the date of imsakah and the call to prayer at dawn on Thursday, the eighth night of the holy month, in Cairo Governorate, provided that residents outside of it take into account the time differences.

According to the imsakia, the time for suhoor came at 1.59 am, while the time for imsakah is at 2.59 am, noting that the time for the dawn prayer is 4.19 am.

As for the date of Iftar on Thursday, the eighth day of the blessed Ramadan, the Maghrib call to prayer comes at 6:12 pm, and dinner and Taraweeh at 7:31 pm, so that the number of fasting hours will be 14 hours and 13 minutes.

Scholars affirm that the best thing a Muslim begins his fasting and praying prayers with is supplication, at the time of pre-dawn meal and at the time of breaking the fast. It is the time when supplications are answered, and what is prescribed at the time of suhoor is for the Muslim to name God Almighty at the beginning of the meal, and to praise Him when he has finished eating, just as he does that at every meal.
