Jakarta –
Luck Mason Greenwood at Manchester United will soon be determined, whether he is allowed to continue his career with the Red Devils or vice versa.
Greenwood has been absent from defending MU since January 2022 because he had to deal with the authorities after being accused of attempted rape and violence against a woman, which had an effect on his work on the gridiron.
The 21-year-old player was found to have been cleared of all charges in February, but United are still suspending his status within the team and launching an internal investigation. However, ESPN reports that the investigation is almost complete.
Greenwood’s future at Old Trafford will soon be decided before August 14, when the new Premier League season kicks off. MU will start the mission to become a champion by hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers in the first week.
It is known that Greenwood did not take part in MU’s pre-season which started in the middle of this week. He is training separately to maintain his fitness, as he has not played in a competitive match for nearly 18 months.
He last played in the match against West Ham United on January 22, 2022. The Red Devils won 1-0.
Whatever happens to Greenwood will not affect MU’s plans to bring in a new striker this summer. A number of realistic names are being considered, such as Randal Kolo Muani or Rasmus Hojlund.
