Greenwood was later found not guilty. Even so, he could at any time be summoned again to court if there was a ‘new chapter’ or a new victim who came forward.
In this 2022/2023 season, name Mason Greenwood has been dropped from the squad Manchester United. The 21-year-old player hasn’t even joined team practice yet.
The latest news, as reported by the British media, is that the closest source says that Greenwood feels he is no longer part of the Red Devils. Greenwood wants to pick up the suitcase!
His contract actually remains until the summer of 2025 plus the option of a season extension. When MU was recently hit by a hurricane of injuries, it was thought that Greenwood would return to the main squad, but that didn’t happen either.
Mason Greenwood reportedly wanted to find a challenge outside the UK. If so, the Red Devils could terminate his contract and the player could leave on a free transfer.
Greenwood has made his way into the main squad since 2019. In total he has packed 35 goals in 129 matches.
