In Yambol, masks are mandatory in public transport for the second day already. On Friday, RZI inspectors checked to what extent the measure was being followed.
“They are actually warning checks for the people who have not heard or seen that there is a new order. From Monday onwards, more serious measures will be taken and joint checks will be organized with the law enforcement authorities. And in the case of citizens without a mask, sanctions will be imposed,” emphasized Stella Ivanova from RZI – Yambol.
Violators are not lacking, controllers say. But they claim they are powerless to force them to wear a mask. Some people claim that they did not understand about the new restriction. However, other passengers are complying with the order.
The fine for not wearing a mask is BGN 300.
