On Saturday, it became known that “Puddelen” in the NRK program “Maskorama” missed this weekend’s broadcast because he was quarantined. The “poodle” was not ill, but could not participate as a result of infection control measures.
The program still went as planned with one participant less, and it was party leader in the Center Party Trygve Slagsvold Vedum (41) as smoke out of the competition. He hid behind the scarecrow.
Now NRK informs Dagbladet that “Puddelen” returns to the program this weekend, and is ready to perform again.
–
– I am happy to report that “Puddelen” is in great shape and ready to perform on Saturday. Hen will perform a dark and mysterious version of “Toxic” by Britney Spears, which was rehearsed for the previous broadcast, says project editor Jan Egil Ådland.
There has been a lot of excitement about what would happen to “Puddelen” since he missed the broadcast last time. Ådland explains the reason why “Puddelen” gets an “extra chance” like this:
– Our attitude, when the “Poodle’s” quarantine was a fact, was that this should not lead to disqualification in “Maskorama”. They also do not dismiss a person on sick leave, he says to Dagbladet.
Ådland has registered that there have been reactions on social media from people who disagree with the decision.
–
– They argue, for example, that this is a competition and not a job, and that an athlete would not get a second chance if he became ill before an event, he says.
Ådland says that the production is on a different line than in sports competitions – and that “Maskorama” is first and foremost a guessing game, and that the participants are in a sense at work when they participate.
– Our overall assessment was therefore that it was not correct to let an unjustified quarantine lead to the “Poodle” being out of the game. An important part of the concept and the “agreement” with the audience is also that a mask should be removed at the end of the program, and this was not possible for the “Poodle” who had been sent in quarantine, he says to Dagbladet.
–
Ådland also says that they have not heard that Trygve Slagsvold Vedum, who went out last Saturday, has had any problems with this.
– It is also the case that to make the game as fair as possible, “Puddelen” does not get extra rehearsal time for its number this week, since this was rehearsed last week, the project editor concludes.
