A 36-year-old man experienced a nasty surprise on Thursday evening in Püchersreuth when he heard quiet noises at his patio door.
When he looked around, he suddenly found himself confronted by two masked figures who were forcing him into his apartment. A scuffle ensued, during which the man tried to tear the mask off one of the intruders’ face. The intruders then struck him with a baton-like object, injuring the 36-year-old’s arm. The man finally managed to chase the perpetrators away.
The masked men were described as follows:
- a 180 cm tall, rather strong figure
- the other 165 cm tall and slim
- Both spoke the Upper Palatinate dialect.
- They were dressed in black clothes.
The motive is still unknown. The police patrols that were notified were unable to find any suspects in the immediate vicinity. The Neustadt ad Waldnaab police are therefore asking for information on 09602/9402-0.
