After OPPO launched the Find N Flip with a vertical concave folding design, Vivo’s brand vice president Jia Jingdong also revealed on the official Weibo page that it will launch a vertical concave folding phone called X Flip, and announced some hardware details. It will be unveiled together with the new X Fold 2 screen foldable mobile phone in April.
Compared with OPPO’s Find N Flop and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series phones, vivo’s upcoming X Flip will obviously adopt a larger display size design on the outer screen, almost occupying most of the upper half of the back cover.
However, the image released by vivo does not turn on the screen, so it is not yet possible to confirm the actual use of the X Flip’s external screen.
The X Flip will be launched in black, gold and purple designs, among which the purple model is designed with a leather back cover with a diamond pattern, and an additional pearl star ring short chain is provided as a match.
The hardware part is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The outside uses a wide-angle lens designed with a 50-megapixel photosensitive element, with optical shock resistance and Zeiss T* coating lens design. The inner video camera adopts a 32-megapixel specification.
Other parts include the hinge design at the recessed fold of the mobile phone, which also corresponds to multi-angle hovering, allowing users to correspond to different angles of recessed use mode.
Vivo is expected to announce the specific specifications of the X Flip when it announces the new X Flod 2 phone with a foldable screen in April.
