Since January 8, the Trident manufacturer has surrounded itself with Giovanni Perosino as new global marketing director. It thus refers to David Grasso, CEO of Maserati: « I am convinced that his solid experience in the automotive world will contribute in a valuable and significant way to the achievement of our objectives at this very strategic and historic moment for our brand. ». His arrival comes as Maserati announced its global expansion into a fifth region called “Overseas”, which includes overseas territories. Maserati will therefore be present on 70 markets.
A 90% career in automobiles
Originally from Turin, Giovanni Perosino has built a solid career spanning more than twenty years in global automotive and luxury sectors. After starting as communications director for Lancia in 2001, he continued his career for ten years within the group, occupying positions of high responsibility, including vice-president of communications and marketing, under direct responsibility of Sergio Marchionne. Between 2010 and 2019, he then worked for the Volkswagen group and Audi in management positions always linked to marketing. At the end of 2019, he joined Lamborghini as commercial director. During this experience, he notably contributed to the brand’s global commercial development in the areas of sales, after-sales, second-hand dealerships, financial services, classic cars, mobility services, premium CRM or even retail sales. Finally, for the last two years, Giovanni Perosino held the position of Marketing Director at ITA Airways, where he worked until the end of the previous financial year.
