How easily Mascha and Gregor open the video with the childbirth story and talk lightly about the first contractions and dilation, it was so difficult for them in early July when Mascha was actually in labor. After an exemplary pregnancy, Mila was born with a shoulder dystocia. That means she was delivered with a broken shoulder, otherwise she would not survive delivery. “We have experienced trauma together.”
Nothing remains undiscussed: from the urge to defecate during childbirth, Mascha tells it all in her one and a half hour video about the delivery. Once she talks about giving birth, she breaks down in tears. “I was lying there … Sorry, I find it very difficult to tell this piece,” she sobs. “Then the midwife said suddenly: ‘You have to turn around on your hands and knees now. She said it so sternly that I thought: it will be. (…) I felt they went in with four hands and felt I tear myself out on all sides. “
Gregor: It was one person who did indeed try to get Mila out. Watch the delivery story below.

It was tough for Gregor too. “At one point I saw Mila’s head and it was completely dark blue.” Although he felt something wasn’t right, he continued to believe in the team that helped deliver. “Then it was: father go with the baby. Then I went to the next room and suddenly there were ten people I had never seen. Mila went into the incubator and immediately got on a respirator.” Mila was blue from head to toe.
Mila turned out to be trapped behind Mascha’s pubic bone during delivery. Her head came out during delivery, but her shoulder didn’t. Because her arm was not properly positioned, they had to break it deliberately. “Every second counts, so at some point you have to make the choice to do this action”, says Mascha. “It seems to be deeply traumatic for whoever has to do this.”

Fortunately, things are now much better tells Mascha in one of her vlogs, which is confirmed once again in the hospital. Mila Poppy still has a preferential left position only because her right arm was broken – and you’re starting to see that now.
Mascha therefore explains that they will soon have baby physiotherapy at home. “We encourage her all the time to turn to the right, but the physio saw that she is very much leaning to the left,” said the vlogger. Her arm is okay, but the new parents just have to be careful, because it is still very sensitive and fragile.
