Saturday September 9, 2023, Maryam Rajavi met with Prof. Avdullah Hoti, former Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Kosovo and current MP of this country, accompanied by Prof. Enver Hoxhaj, Vice-President of the Parliament of Kosovo and former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Kosovo is more than 95% Muslim.
Expressing his joy at meeting Ms. Rajavi, Professor Hoti said that we have been fighting for freedom and democracy in our country for many years and therefore we are well aware of the situation of the Iranian people and their resistance. I admire your resistance and congratulate you for all these years of perseverance and struggle, he added. Please know that you have many friends in all parts of the world and I look forward to the day when we can celebrate the freedom of your people in a free and democratic Iran.
Professor Hoxhaj, head of diplomacy for more than five years and deputy prime minister for three years, is currently vice-president of the Kosovo Assembly. He said that although this is the first time he has met Ms. Rajavi, he has known her struggle for a long time, during his years of service in the government, and has followed her closely for fourteen years. I fully support a Iran free and democratic which will certainly become a reality as well as your 10-point program which I read carefully, he assured. In his opinion, all European countries should support your resistance.
While thanking her hosts, Ms. Rajavi said that the clerical regime is at the weakest point in its history and that Khamenei, although he put Ebrahim Raisi, executioner of the 1988 massacre in Iran, in power, killed demonstrators and executed prisoners, is not able to prevent the anger of the people who want to overthrow this regime. This is why, fearing a revolt, the regime resorts to widespread arrests, repressive measures and vain machinations against the Iranian Resistance.
