Word of mouth and his incessant work as an independent artist were what have led Marwán to be one of the main voices of songwriting in Spain and Latin America. Later his signing by the Sony record company and the Planeta publishing house, raised even more the name of an artist who already filled large halls and theaters and sold books in the tens of thousands.
The Old Boxer, is the fifth album by singer-songwriter Marwán. The album is made up of ten songs in which we find a Marwán full of light, leaving behind the bitterness of heartbreak; upbeat, with rhythms and lyrics that invite dance, something unusual in the signature song register; combative and brave despite the moment and sure of his job. It is no coincidence that the title and the cover pay tribute to his father, Salmán. A Palestinian refugee who found peace in our country and who is a reference for the singer-songwriter from Madrid. An example of struggle and perseverance that his son Marwán wants to project in this new album, which he publishes after almost three years of touring all corners of our country and some Latin American countries, such as Mexico.
