During the State of Play presentation, Insomniac Games showed a gameplay trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which demonstrates innovations.
What is known
First they showed the game map. Now it is almost twice as large as in the first part. Two new districts have appeared – Queens and Brooklyn. But moving around such a large world can take some time, so the authors gave both spiders “web wings” similar to a wingsuit. If you combine it with a regular web, you will quickly even reach the other end of the map.
A special feature of the game is that we immediately have access to two spiders: Peter Parker and Miles Morales. In the open world, you can switch between them at any time, and this happens almost instantly thanks to the SSD on the PS5.
There will also be many additional activities scattered around the map. Some of them are designed for a specific spider, and some can be completed as anyone.

And of course, the game has more skills, abilities and gadgets that will help you fight enemies more effectively. The authors also prepared 65 costumes for the players. Some of the costumes also come in multiple color palettes, allowing players to choose from over 200 styles for their Spiders.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to release on October 20 for PlayStation 5.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a 3rd person open world adventure game that is a direct sequel to Insomniac Games’ two previous games: Spider-Man and Spider-Man Miles Morales. The story will tell how Peter Parker and Miles Morales became a full-fledged superhero duo and protect New York together. However, the troubles only increase. The heroes are trying to be destroyed by Venom and Kraven the Hunter, who will appear in a video game about Spider for the first time in many years.
