Little by little, the Marvel universe seems to be building a team full of anti-heroes. In the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier we already met US Agent (Wyatt Russell), a dark version of Captain America. And the movie Black Widow seems to be building another member.This article contains spoilers for Black Widow, so only read on if you’re not worried about SPOILERS.
In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier we discover that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is busy building a team. She doesn’t explain exactly why, but at least US Agent joins her. And now there’s another possible addition to that team.
De Dark Avengers
In the movie Black Widow we will see Fontaine again. After the death of Natasha Romanoff, the character Yelena Belova (Florence Pughher grave. There, Fontaine visits the character and gives her an assignment: to kill Clint Barton.
With that, two Dark Avengers have already been built and Fontaine still has about six to go.
In the comics, we didn’t meet the team until 2009, and we got to see their stories for four years.
The team was put together by Norman Osborn and included Captain Marvel (Noh-Varr), Ms. Marvel (Moonstone), Venom (Mac Gargan/Scorpion), Hawkeye (Bullseye), Wolverine (Daken), Sentry and Ares. Osborn combined Captain America and Iron Man into Iron Patriot, a suit of armor he wore himself.
It is of course interesting that Black Widow even though the return of Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) includes. Would Fontaine also work with him? It is clear that they are building towards more!
